The fullness of life in youth and its seeming endlessness is caught in an eternal summer. Working at the beach, I explored, through my canvases and paints, the potentiality of situations both mental and physical, marked by joyous celebration at the edge of the sea.

This group of paintings contains a mélange of many emotions, from celebration and joy to sorrow and suspicion, all emerging from complex relationships.

Speaking to the primitive, animal spirit that resides in all of us, I made a connection with who we think we are vs. what our souls are longing to manifest. It alludes to the freedom we all strive for, the fear we face, and our envy of the wild and beautiful. This series asks for recognition of the oneness we share with all living things.
